Spooky week

On Tuesday we continued watching a documentary about a class in the UK trying out the Chinese school system. At first they were little shits not willing to try or listen, but by the end the most part were willing to shut up and learn. The experiment showed the Chinese school students got higher exam results than the other class. Then we discussed the differences between British, Chinese and Norwegian school.

And in the evening we started our Halloween calendar with watching the first couple of episodes of Over the Garden Wall. We enjoyed our time with Isacs son and lover Kjell Skeletos while watching the series. Kjell Skeletos was born last weekend, and has become a big part of our lives.

On Friday we had our first conversation in Chinese. Then we had cooking with Haibiao. We made sweet and sour pork and Chinese pancakes. We were split into different groups to make the pork and at the end we tasted them all to see which was best. Then in the evening we, pancake makers cooked the pancakes and I was the master cutter. They were banging, hopefully we can make them again soon.

Saturday we had some free time til the Halloween party. We had to be ready in our costumes for dinner at 18.00. I was Peppa Pig and Guro was Maleficent, which I belive is an amazing combo. After dinner we were split into groups for different halloween themed activities. In my group we started off with the haunted house, where we had to find 2 crowns and a mystery item with only a small torch in the dark whilst assistentene were trying to scare us. Then we had to make it through an obstacle course through gymsalen blindfolded and find 5 cones, we of course found all 5. Next we had to pop as many balloons as possible in pairs in 2 minutes ( agood method i found was sitting on my child Tone). At the next post we had to stick our hands in a box and guess what was inside (Pia and I got cold spaghetti). Finally we had to create a story that had to contain a list of words we got, then all the groups acted them out on the stage. After much discussion the winners of the night were announced and selvfølgelig they were all from Kina klassen. Best dancer-Ida, best actor- Kin , best duo- Thelma and Tilde, best solo- Helene. To end the night we watched one of the best films ever; Coraline.

Takk for oss, prekæs!
